Unfortunately, many people are going through a difficult time in this downward economy. Many people are being forced to take pay cuts at their place of employment or even worse, losing their jobs altogether. If a family has a two income family and one person loses their job, the family may make it for a while until the one spouse finds a job; however if this is a single parent family, losing their job could start a vicious cycle in which foreclosure of their house is not too far off.
Losing one’s job may be a temporary setback for the family because there are unemployment benefits available that last several months while the individual is looking for permanent work. If the head of the household or a spouse has experienced a decrease in their income, one way they could make up for that deficit in their income would be to sell gold to gold brokers or pawn shops who are eager to pay top dollar for unwanted gold jewelry and other pieces of gold.
Gold is trading at a record high and people are cleaning out their jewelry boxes, rare gold coin collections and even raiding their boxes of gold teeth to bring in to their local pawn shops in exchange for cash money.
Many pawn shops will allow a person to bring in old and unwanted pieces of gold even if they are broken, such as necklaces, rings, bracelets or old gold teeth in order to sell gold for cash for their much needed household bills, unexpected medical bills, car repairs or anything a family might need cash for.
A pawn shop will usually turn around and sell your unwanted gold jewelry to other customers for a significant profit; a gold broker will take your unwanted gold pieces and gold jewelry, give you the cash and then either sell them to another broker or melt them down themselves in order to trade the gold bars for cash which is highly profitable for them.
